Getting Started!
Reading Write Alaska requires a referral or doctor’s order from the Primary Care Physician prior to scheduling an evaluation for Speech and Occupational Therapy. Please call our office (907) 301-4588 and our office administrator will guide you through the process of setting up an evaluation with one of our licensed Speech Language Pathologists or Occupational Therapists.
If you are interested in any of our other services including tutoring, test preparation, special education advocacy, etc.; please call our office directly to inquire about scheduling. Please note: Dyslexia and Dysgraphia evaluations and/or treatment sessions MAY be covered by health insurance, depending on your plan and coverage. Our office administrator can answer any questions you have regarding insurance coverage.
Please remember to bring the following to your initial evaluation appointment:
- A copy of your primary Insurance card and/or your child’s Medicaid card/stickers. If your child is covered under your insurance AND has Medicaid, please bring both cards. Medicaid requires that we bill the primary insurance first before they will pay for services.
- Completed and signed New Patient Forms. These will be emailed to you with your appointment confirmation, or you can request them below.
- Please bring any previous Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Neuropsychic evaluation reports or other relevant data to your evaluation.
Reading Write Alaska is also an approved vendor for all local homeschool programs
